Hindi Diwas celebrated

To commemorate the day India adopted Hindi as its National language,Ryan International School,Dugri observed Hindi Diwas on Saturday. Various inter house competitions like Word Chain Antakshari,were organised. Students and teachers used Hindi in their conversation throughout the day. Teachers emphasised the importance of Hindi language and said the students should be proud of the National language and should be enriched by adopting good words from the language. The school headmistress called upon students to make united efforts for the progress and promotion of Hindi so that unity of the country can be strengthened. Hindi was officially recognised as the National language on September 14,1949.
