Dr Ravinder Chadha retires

After serving Haryana Power Utilities (HPU) for 33 years,former Indian cricket team Physiotherapist,Dr Ravinder Chadha retired as Director,Medical Services,Haryana Power Utilities on Tuesday.

After serving Haryana Power Utilities (HPU) for 33 years,former Indian cricket team Physiotherapist,Dr Ravinder Chadha retired as Director,Medical Services,Haryana Power Utilities on Tuesday. He had joined the erstwhile Haryana State Electricity Board in the year 1975 as Medical Officer. Sharing his thoughts on his retirement,Dr Ravinder Chadha,said,”It feels great after staying connected with Haryana Power Utilities for more than 30 years. I thoroughly enjoyed my attachment with HPU for such a long span.” The medical service in the HSEB was limited to only consultancy when he had joined way back in 1976.

Apart from leading the Haryana State Electricity Board team in various board championships,Chadha led the Haryana Ranji team for 19 years.

He is also an avid golfer and likes to put at the Chandigarh Golf Club greens. Recently,he joined the select band of golfers who have scored a hole-in-one when he achieved that rare feat at the par three 14th hole on the par 72 greens of the Chandigarh Golf Club.

In view of his outstanding performance the State awarded him with the Bhim Award too. After taking retirement from cricket he became selector of National Selection Committee for Indian team for seven years. Dr. Chadha has specialised in treating sports injuries.

He is one of the noted physiotherapists of the northern India. At present,he runs Pain Management Clinic in Sector 22 in Chandigarh.
