College holds debate

To ascertain student views on social,economic and ethical issues,P-STEP,an initiative of the Department of Higher Education,Government of Punjab,organised a student’s parliament at SCD Government College in Ludhiana on Saturday.

To ascertain student views on social,economic and ethical issues,P-STEP (Punjab Skill Training for Employment Potential),an initiative of the Department of Higher Education,Government of Punjab,organised a student’s parliament at SCD Government College in Ludhiana on Saturday. The students were divided into two groups,with one being designated ‘ruling’ party and the other ‘opposition’ and were required to debate in the parliament under the nomenclature ‘Aamne-Saamne’. Around 80 students participated in the programme and debated on various topical issues. The programme was aimed to determine the student’s potential to debate and to improve their confidence.
