LUDHIANA: Haibowal police on Thursday busted a flesh trade racket run by a woman which was being sheltered by a police official. Area residents said that the police official used to visit the area frequently. At the time of the raid,one couple was caught while the police official too was there. SHO Amarjeet Singh confirmed that a flesh trade racket was being run in the mohalla but said the role of the police official was being investigated. No FIR was registered till the time of filing this report. Power cut in major parts of city from 1 pm - 5 pm LUDHIANA: In order to augment power transformer T 66KV sub-station,Model Town,the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited will suspend the supply to the following areas from 1 pm to 5 pm on Friday: Model Town,Model Town Extension,Model House,Harnam Nagar,Atam Nagar,Kartar Nagar,Jammu Colony,Abdullapur Basti,Manjit Nagar,Kamla Nagar,Indira Nagar,Bus Stand,Sham Nagar,Singhpura,Harkiratpura,Azad Nagar,Guru Gian Vihar,and Jawaddi village. Feeders of Vishal Nagar will remain off from 10 am to 6 pm due to which Vishal Nagar,Vikas Nagar and Punjab Mata Nagar will remain without power from 10 am - 6 pm.
