Ludhiana: The cast of Punjabi flick ‘Pher Maamla Gadbad Gadbad’ was in the city on Thursday to promote it. The film is scheduled to release on July 12. The cast interacted with mediapersons at SRS Cinemas at Omaxe Plaza. The film will also be released in Australia,New Zealand,Canada,US and UK. The cast also presented a show at MBD Neopolis in evening. Prince said,”The film is a situational comedy-cum-romantic one. The highlight of the movie is its music. Music composer Jaggi Singh has given nine tracks”.

Unidentified man booked for abducting minor

Ludhiana: The police on Wednesday registered a case against an unidentified person for abducting a minor girl on the pretext of marrying her. A complaint was filed at Focal Point Police Station by the girl’s father,Manoj Gupta,a Makkar Colony resident. He stated that his daughter,who was a student of G K Public High School,was missing for the last two days. He said that his daughter was abducted on July 2. A case has been registered against the unidentified person under

various sections of the IPC.

4,000 sedative capsules seized

Ludhiana: The anti-narcotics cell of the Ludhiana Police on Wednesday evening seized 4,000 sedative capsules and 100 sedative pills during a raid at Gill Road. Shimlapuri police station registered cases against Ramesh Kumar of Lohara Colony and Rakesh Kumar alias Bobby of New Shimlapuri. SI Harbans Singh,incharge of anti-narcotic cell,said the accused were in a three-wheeler when they were arrested.
