Man with renal failure seeks financial aid
Ludhiana: A 26-year-old,Puneet,has been regularly undergoing bi-weekly dialysis at the Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. According to doctors,Puneet is suffering from kidney failure and has been on dialysis for the past four years. His father Ishwar Chander is also bedridden with chronic arthritis. The family has exhausted all the financial resources for the treatment of Puneet. On the behalf of the family,the hospital authorities make a fervent appeal to philanthropists for monetary help by sending a cheque/draft in favour of Dayanand Medical College & Hospital with Treatment for Puneet along with CR No. 89816 written on backside of the cheque or draft.
City students to visit Malaysia for karate championship
Ludhiana: As many as 5 students of Guru Gobind Singh Public School,Pakhowal Road,are going to participate in the Asian Korea Karate Championship going to take place in Malaysia from December 9 to December 12 . According to a press release,Rubal Kumar,Amarpreet Singh,Simranjeet Kaur Bhandari,Gursimran Singh & Vivekanand Sharma have been selected for this competition. Earlier these students brought won in National Karate Championship organized in Kolkata and they were selected for World Karate Championship organized in Spain. In this competition the players of China,Japan,Hong-Kong,Iran,Thailand,Indonesia,Korea & Singapore etc. are also participating. Principal of the school,Manjit Kaur,wished them for their competition in Malaysia and she thanked the management for bearing up all the expenditure of these students.
Armed Forces Flag Day celebrated
Ludhiana: Armed Forces Flag Day was marked at Guru Gobind Singh Public School,Daad. On this occasion,the speech on the Importance of Armed and Flag Day was delivered. The students of Class III and IV recited poems. They students who excelled in various activities were also honoured. Flags of Armed forces were distributed amongst the students. Rajwant Kaur explained the importance of the day. Students also contributed to the noble cause.
