Youth on bike attack petrol pump worker,flee with money Jagraon
:Two unidentified youth on a motorcycle fled with Rs 4,400 snatched from a worker at a petrol pump owned by the family members of senior Akali leader and District Planning Board chairman Bhag Singh Mallah. The incident took place on Tuesday morning. The petrol pump is located on the busy Ludhiana-Ferozepur highway near Sidhwan Kalan. According to SHO,Chowkimann police station,Mukhtiar Singh,“Around 10 am,two youth came to fill their motorcycle tank. The boys took out a Rs 100 note and when the petrol pump staff extended his hand to take it,the boys tried to snatch the money he had in his hand. As the worker tried to resist,they boys took out sharp edged weapons and attacked him.” The police have registered an FIR against unknown persons.

BJP leader vent their ‘displeasure’ against SAD leaders Ludhiana
:In a first-of-its-kind convention at the district level,BJP workers vented their dissatisfaction against alliance partner,the Shiromani Aklai Dal. District president Rajiv Katna said,“Leaders who have come from Congress and joined SAD do not understand the importance of an alliance government. They are not fulfilling their duties properly and are creating problems.” A common problem that was aired to the state president Ashwini Sharma was fielding of independent candidates. For the first time,the ward level,mandal level presidents and active workers were invited for the convention wherein they could talk to the state president and general secretary Kamal Sharma. A total of 165 BJP leaders were called and out of these 157 had come. BJP MLAs Harish Bedi,Satpal Gosain,senior deputy mayor Parveen Bansal,deputy mayor Sunita Aggarwal and others attended the convention.
