With two days gross score of 147 in open category,Rahul Bakshi emerged as the winner of the 8th Chandigarh Amateur Golf Championship Trophy held at Chandigarh Golf Club on Friday.
Rajinder Kumar who was one shot behind Rahul Bakshi finished as the runners-up. Rajinder was leading by one stroke upto the 17th hole but he was unlucky to drop the ball in the water hazard. He also had a double bogey on the 18th hole. Day One leader Abhijit Chadha was declared second runners-up with a score of 150.
In category E for ladies,Rabiya Gill was declared the champion with a score of 157. Following her was Shivali Aggarwal who stood second with a score of 171. Pauline JM Singh,the defending champion,bagged the second runners-up trophy.
Prabhdeep S Ghai was the winner in category A with a total score of 160. Zubin Nijhwan,who was two strokes behind,finished as the first runners-up while Rishi Raj Arora claimed the second runners-up position.
In category B,Tarundeep Chadha with a two days score of 158 was declared the winner. D Darvesh Kumar finished second with seven strokes behind while Vivek Gupta claimed the third spot. Meanwhile,with a score of 157,Firoz S Grewal emerged as the winner in category C. The runners-up was Shabankar Sharma followed by H Gangwar who was two stroke behind.
In category G,Jaipreet Ghuman,a student of KBDAV School,Sector7,was the winner with a score of 171. Tavleen Batra finished second followed by Natesha Gill. In category D children below 10 years,Karandeep Kochaar with a score of 167 was declared the winner followed by youngest participants Aadil Bedi (178) and Rohan Kathuria (188).
