Assessees face difficulty in filing return online

The assesses who had to file online returns of VAT on Tuesday faced a lot of problems because the server of state excise and taxation was very slow. It took more than three hours for filing of one return while a few could not even file their return. Taxation Young Lawyers Association have requested the Excise Department to improve the infrastructure so that e-filing can be done at a faster pace.

Training imparted to rural jobless
Punjab and Sind Bank Rural Self-Employment Training Institute has imparted training in computer hardware and basic knowledge in computers to 26 candidates in age group of 18-35 years. They had come from 14 villages and were from poor families.The training was free of cost. The concluding function was held at the Zila Parishad here on Tuesday in which chairman Manpreet Singh Ayali was the chief guest.
