Till a year ago,Jaspreet Kaur was like any other homemaker, looking after household chores and devoting the entire day to her family. One fine day,she realised that she should do something constructive with her free time.

And thus began her stint with writing. Starting with letters to editors,Jaspreet has now many articles in print, both in magazines and newspapers.

“Certain events in my life pushed me to take up the pen and jot down my thoughts. When I did it once,I discovered a highly satisfying pleasure,” says the mother of two children, who has not stopped writing ever since.

“There are certain things that are not in one’s control, but we can always channelise our thoughts. I have written a lot on politics,” she adds.

Equally interested in poetry, both Hindi and English, her works have appeared in English and vernacular magazines.

“I want to be a regular contributor to the editorial pages of newspapers. My articles are already appearing in newspapers but I wish to get the tag of a columnist,” she expresses her desire.

“I now make full use of my time at home. I have a loving husband and all my folks have been supporting me. I keep a track of the political events and happenings. Besides poetry,I have special interest in politics,” says Jaspreet.
