Being an ayurvedic doctor,he ensures the wellbeing of others but as regards his own happiness, all he needs is a handful of colours, paint brush and of course a canvas to brush aside his stress and anxiety. Meet Dr Suneet Arora,an ayurvedic expert practicing in BRS Nagar, whose association with this form of art dates back to when he was in his teens.

Dr Arora said,“I have always been good at sketching and painting. Ideas keep coming to my mind when I read books and hence I make theme paintings.”

He has made theme paintings on Lord Buddha while abstracts too are a part of his collection. “I find painting as the biggest stress buster. So I spend time on weekends or during the night to detoxify myself. I regularly meet amateur artists of the city to keep my passion and interest alive,” he says.

His nine-year-old son Hardik is his biggest critic, says Dr Arora. “Like me,even he is also good at painting and recently he won first prize in an inter-school painting competition. “

Though he paints for his friends as well,he has never organised any exhibitions. “Ludhiana lacks good art critics. Till the time you don’t get a healthy criticism, you cannot improve.”

I do encourage budding painters to adopt painting as a profession or at least keep the hobby alive in them.”.”

A voracious reader,he is authoring a book on ayurveda which will hit the market soon.
