12-year-old goes missing

Twelve-year old Papu Mandal,a resident of Passi Nagar,has been missing since July 9. Papu,who is a student of nearby Jeevan Jot Public School,as per his father G C Mandal,had left home for his tuition classes on on July 9 but has not returned since.

Mandal informed,“The tuition classes are just two homes away from our’s and Papu did not reach his class too that day. We later came to know that Papu had not completed his home work and fearing the teacher’s wrath did not attend the class that day.”

Papu’s family has registered an FIR with the Sadar police station and the police too is trying to locate the missing child but have not been successful till date.

A distraught father,Mandal added,“Papu is my adopted son and biologically he is my elder brother’s only son. My brother had handed over Papu to me with the hope that I will educate Papu and look after him well. We do not have any rivalry with any one and neither did Papu,who is a national player in martial arts. We simply can not think as to where this child could have gone.”
