Youth’s body found in resort pool

Gomti Nagar ASP Abdul Hamid said,“We cannot rule out foul play. The picture will be clear once we manage to trace victim’s friend with whom he had gone to the resort.” The police have summoned officials of the resort for questioning about how the body remained in the pool but was not spotted by the staff.

A resident of the Indira Nagar area,Anurag was the son of Nandji Srivastava,a retired government employee. According to the police,when Anurag did not reach home on Thursday evening,his father Nandji called on his cellphone. An employee of the resort received the call,taking the cellphone out of Anurag’s clothes,which were lying around.

He told him that the phone had been left by one of the youth who had come to the resort along with his friends in the afternoon. He added that the youths who had come with him were also searching for him but could not find him.

Hearing this,Nandji informed the police. Later,he went to the resort along with the police and during a search spotted Anurag’s body lying in the pool.
