What about mangalsutras of kar sewaks’ wives: Yogi hits out at Dimple
Flagging the visit of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav to the family of late gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari, Adityanath said, “You personally offered condolences when a mafia died.”

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday that the Samajwadi Party failed to find a ‘Yaduvanshi’ outside the extended family of its late patron Mulayam Singh Yadav to contest the elections from the Mainpuri seat that has party president Akhilesh Yadav’s wife Dimple Yadav in the fray on party ticket.
Addressing a public meeting in in the constituency, considered an SP bastion, from where BJP minister Jaiveer Singh is pitted against Dimple. On Dimple’s remark as who took away “mangalsutras” of the wives of the soldiers killed in the 2019 Pulwama attack, the CM said the SP must explain where were the “mangalsutras” of the wives of kar sewaks killed in the Babri Masjid firing.
“An SP leader asked the Prime Minister what happened to the mangalsutras of the widows of Pulwama martyrs. But question should be asked from them that what happened to the widows of young Ram bhakts?” he asked.

Claiming that the SP only promotes one family, the CM said Raju Pal and Umesh Pal, who were killed in Prayagraj, were from other backward classes but SP leaders were instead expressing condolences on the death of a “mafia”. “I want to ask that SP leader that these mafia killed BJP MLA Krishna Nanda Rai and six others in Ghazipur. His wife Alka Rai is our MLA. Did they ever show concern about the magalsutra of Alka Rai or wives of others killed in that incident?” he asked.
