We have Akshay Kumar to thank for roping in Lara Dutta to star opposite him in Blue. “Akshay is the main reason for me to be a part of this film,” says Lara. “When he recommended me for Blue,I really didn’t know how to swim,let alone dive. He persuaded me to take swimming lessons which gave me the confidence that I wouldn’t drown in five feet of water.” Now,we hear that Lara is quite the mermaid. “It’s thanks to Akshay that I’m a certified diver today,” says Lara.

It looks like the summer is going to get a whole lot hotter. Amrita Arora is all set to shed her girl-next-door looks and unleash her glamorous avatar in her upcoming film Kambakht Ishq. “I hope to entertain my audiences both with my looks and performance in the film,” says Amrita. “I’ve done rigorous gymming and a lot of food control for this. I have really worked hard towards a toned body as this was what the script required.” And the result? We’re reserving judgement.
