Traders block road against burglary

Traders in Baghpat blocked the link road to Delhi-Saharanpur highway for over four hours on Friday to press for their demand of frequent policing of the market and granting arms licence to them after four shops in the busy Ghanshyamganj Mandi were burgled today.

Traders in Baghpat blocked the link road to Delhi-Saharanpur highway for over four hours on Friday to press for their demand of frequent policing of the market and granting arms licence to them after four shops in the busy Ghanshyamganj Mandi were burgled today. The road blockade resulted in huge traffic snarls. “The theft in four shops has surprised the shopkeepers,as the miscreants broke the lock of the shops despite presence of people in the area,” said Pramod Paliwal,district president of UP West Sanykoth Udyog Vyapar. The blockade was lifted after the police assured them that they will look into their demands.
