With the arrest of three persons,including two relatives,the Lucknow police claimed to have resolved the murder of an elderly couple Hardari Lal (75) and Umrai (70),which took place at Nagram on Friday.

The arrested are Malti,wife of Hardari Lal’s cousin Mulahi,her brother Tinna and his friend Shivlal. The trio have confessed to have committed the crime,said police.

Tinna’s three friends,Kailash,Satya Narayan and Rajinder,also involved in the murder,are absconding.

Tinna is a hardcore criminal with over 15 cases pending against him,said police.

“Lal had bequeathed all his property to Mulahi but later changed his mind. This prompted Malti to plan the murder,” said a police officer.
