With his 25th book,Arun Shourie triggers public interest and discussion

When Arun Shourie launched his 25th book We Must Have No Price—published by The Express Group and Rupa—in Mumbai at Crossword,Kemps Corner,on Saturday afternoon,admirers of his writing,book-lovers as well as prominent personalities from the corporate world thronged the venue in huge numbers.

The former Chief Editor of The Indian Express kept the audience engaged with his sharp views and astute understanding of India’s political,economic and security issues. Shekhar Gupta,Editor-in-Chief of The Express Group,who was in conversation with Shourie,recounted anecdotes from the author’s political as well as journalistic career.

With the audience posing questions about the Maoist menace,about China (Shourie has been writing about it for a decade now) and the Telangana issue,among others,the afternoon interaction only got more interesting.

Spotted in the audience were Kapish Mehra of Rupa Publications,Flashnet’s Piyush Goyal,chairman of Nasscom Foundation Jaithirth Rao,columnist Sudheendra Kulkarni,market strategist Rama Bijapurkar,chairman of Zodiac Clothing M Y Noorani. Actor Sonali Kulkarni,filmmaker Feroz Abbas Khan and socialite Rashmi Uday Singh also attended the event.
