A school girl in Kanpur had to be admitted in a hospital after being beaten by her teacher for answering a question out of turn. The school administration has removed the teacher who had hit the student.

The incident took place on Friday when the 14-year-old girl,a Class VIII student of Shivaji Inter College,Kanpur, answered a history question out of turn. “The teacher was unhappy because the question was for another student and she answered it,” said the girl’s father, who is a labourer.

He said the teacher,Aditya Sachan, was angered by this and hit the girl on the head.

“They sent my daughter back home, from where we took her to a hospital. The CT scan report is yet to come,” he said.

“We have already fired the teacher and will also support the family for the treatment of the girl,” said Naveen Sachan, manager of the inter college.

The girl’s father alleged that though he had gone to lodge an FIR at the police station, the police said that he should concentrate on getting his daughter treated first and FIR can be lodged later.
