Suspended LDB MD arrested in Delhi

The Lucknow Crime Branch Saturday arrested suspended managing director (MD) of UP Land and Development Bank — Nawal Kishore — who was on the run since special investigation bureau (SIB) of police cooperative cell filed chargesheet against him in July on charges of corruption and financial irregularities during his tenure between 2007 and 2012. Kishore was arrested Saturday morning from Delhi’s Vasant Vihar locality and brought to Lucknow. During investigation,the SIB found that Kishore had caused a loss of over Rs 5 crore to the government exchequer by indulging in corrupt practices and illegal activities.
