SP changes five LS candidates

The Samajwadi Party changed its candidates from five Lok Sabha constituencies Friday.

The Samajwadi Party changed its candidates from five Lok Sabha constituencies Friday.

The party has named Minister of State for Dairy Development Ram Murti Verma as its candidate for Ambedkar Nagar seat,replacing Heera Lal Yadav who was SP’s district unit president. MLA Mitrasen Yadav has been named from Faizabad,replacing former MLC Tilak Ram Verma.

MLA from Aliganj Rameshwar Singh Yadav has been named candidate for Farrukhabad,replacing Sachin Singh Yadav. Sachin is the son of Minister of State for Home Guards Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) and Vocational Education Narendra Singh Yadav.

Rajeev Rai,SP national secretary,has been chosen for Ghosi,replacing Bal Kishan Chauhan. Rai,who is regarded close to Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, was suspended after the Assembly elections in 2012 for making certain remarks on TV channels,allegedly against Azam Khan,a charge which he vehemently denied. He was reinstated after about four months.

MLA from Hata seat in Kushinagar district Radhey Shyam Singh has been named candidate for Kushinagar seat replacing Nathuni Kushwaha.
