Rinku case: two booked under NSA

The Muzaffar Nagar district administration slapped the National Security Act against two people who had allegedly attacked the Social Welfare Officer,Rinku Singh on March 26.

The Muzaffar Nagar district administration slapped the National Security Act against two people who had allegedly attacked the Social Welfare Officer,Rinku Singh on March 26.

On Monday,the police arrested the accused — Samajwadi Party leader Mukesh Chaudhary and Welfare Department assistant accountant Ashok Kashyap.

The duo had allegedly fired six bullets at Singh after he had unearthed corrupt practices in various schemes. Singh has lost one eye and is currently undergoing treatment in a city hospital.

Chaudhary’s property including houses and agricultural land in Muzaffar Nagar has been sealed.
