Results out for 2009 UP PCS

The results for the Uttar Pradesh combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination (commonly known as UP PCS) for the year 2009 was announced here on Saturday. More than 750 aspirants have qualified in the examination.

Examination controller of the UP Public Service Commission R P Singh said a total of 756 aspirants were selected following three rounds of examination beginning with the prelims exam that had been conducted in December 2010. “More than 77,000 had appeared for the prelims,while those selected for mains were over 14,000. A total of 2,584 aspirants were interviewed. One of them was,however,disqualified as he had failed to submit his certificates. This has been one of the biggest exams of the UP PCS to be conducted by the Commission over the last few years,” said Singh. The examinations have remained controversy free,he added.
