Rahuls carpenter Pitroda makes way for Sanjay in star list

Riding high on the wave of latest Bollywood film Agneepaths success,actor Sanjay Dutt found his name in the latest list of 40 star campaigners of the Congress,which the party has given to the Election Commission.

Sanjay,who had once blamed the Congress for sidelining his father and veteran actor-turned-MP Sunil Dutt,has already started campaigning for the grand old party. Interestingly,the actor has replaced technocrat and Prime Ministers advisor Sam Pitroda,who was in UP recently as Congress star campaigner for releasing the Vision Document 2020 and election manifesto.

State Congress legislature party leader Pramod Tiwari,downplayed the change in the list calling it a normal exercise to suit as per the requirements in different phases of the election campaigns.

The objective of bringing Sam Pitroda would have been solved. But he might come back for campaign in upcoming phases of elections, Tiwari added.

Rahul Gandhi was the first one who described Pitroda as carpenter (belonging to OBC). He had justified his statement in Varanasi press conference saying he wanted to highlight how a person from a lower caste could also make it big.

Meanwhile,Sanjay,who was general secretary of Samajwadi Party,recently attended a public meeting in Allahabad in support of Congress candidate. In that meeting,had reportedly said that his return to Congress was on the advice of Amar Singh.
