Pradhan’s kin file complaint to CBI

Pawan also dispatched a copy of the complaint to the Prime Minister’s Office seeking its intervention for lodging of the FIR.

The CBI is investigating the murders of Nanhey Yadav,his brother Suresh Yadav and DSP Ziaul Haque,which took place at Balipur village on March 2.

The DSP’s wife Parveen Azad had also named Raja Bhaiyya and his men for her husband’s murder. Raja Bhaiyya had to resign as minister from the Akhilesh Yadav cabinet after an FIR was lodged on Parveen’s complaint.

CBI’s chief information officer Dharini Mishra said Pawan’s complaint will be forwarded to the local police to initiate action.

Pawan alleged that Raja Bhaiyya had threatened him and his brothers Phoolchand and Sudhir when Vinod Saroj,MLA from Babaganj,visited his house a few days after the murders. He alleged that the MLA asked him to talk to Raja Bhaiyya on his phone. Raja Bhaiyya allegedly threatened him and his brothers not to speak against him or his close aides before the CBI,or else they and their family would face the consequences,he said.

When asked,MLA Vinod Saroj said,“I visited pradhan’s house the day Chief Minister met the family. We were waiting for the CM when Raja Bhaiyya called up on my mobile phone and asked me to give the phone to pradhan’s brother Pawan. Both had a conversation for a few minutes. There were over 50 people around the place and I don’t think Raja Bhaiyya threatened Pawan.”

Vinod Saroj had been a co-accused with Raja Bhaiyya and others in a case of kidnapping of a block development committee head and had also been booked under the Gangsters Act in 2010. He had also been jailed along with Raja Bhaiyya.

Apart from naming Raja Bhaiyya and his aides for their “role in the murders of his brothers Nanhey Yadav and Suresh”,Pawan in his complaint told the CBI that his brothers were being harassed by Raja Bhaiyya and his men since 2003 over different issues. He alleged that Raja Bhaiyya and his aides got angry when Nanhey provided labourers following the orders of local administration for collecting fish from Raja Bhaiyya’s pond at his Benti palace in 2003. But soon after the Samajwadi Party came to power towards the end of 2003,Raja Bhaiyya’s aides started harassing Nanhey and Suresh. Police registered criminal cases against his brothers and even declared both of them historysheeters at the instance of Raja Bhaiyya. Nanhey was once assaulted by Raja Bhaiyya’s aides in 2004. They could not muster courage to lodge a complaint against the accused then,Pawan alleged.
