The postmortem report has revealed that the 53-year-old Pilibhit distillery employee had died of throttling.

The postmortem report has revealed that the 53-year-old Pilibhit distillery employee had died of throttling.

On Wednesday,body of Shripat Mandal,an employee of Majhola Distillery & Chemical Works,was found hanging in the time-keeping office of the unit.

The Circle Officer (CO),City,Rafiq Ahmed,told The Indian Express that the postmortem examination report confirmed that Mandal was strangled to death. It appears that he was killed and later his body was hanged to mislead the police,he said.

The Station Officer (SO) of the concerned Niuria police station,Tapeshwar Sagar,said a case of murder has been registered into the death of the employee. They are probing into the motive behind Mandal’s murder while his family members could not give any clue,he said.

Sagar also said that Mandal had left home around 12 on Tuesdayfor the office and did not return home at night. His body was found hanging in the office next morning. The family members had not informed the police.
