Pool Palace cueists win billiards & snooker title

Host cueists of the Pool Palace won both the singles titles of billiards & snooker events of the Ninth Annual Prize Money tournament.

In the billiards final between teammates,Musa Ahmad playing with a handicap of (+25) against Surya Dev Singh (+20) in the 200 up game which required Musa to score 175 points to Surya’s 180 points,it was Musa who emerged triumphant by 200-184 points. In the next match,the snooker doubles final,the Target Zone snooker parlour pair of Asish and Vijay defeated the host’s pair of Tayyab and Urfi to lift the title.

In the snooker singles final held between Siddarth Mehra of Pool Palace and Ashar Abrar of the Q Strokes snooker parlour,Siddarth won the title.

Earlier,in a billiards event,Surya Dev Singh had defeated Siddarth Mehra by 200-130 points in one semi-final whereas,Musa Ahmad got the better of Vinesh Singh Kablu by 200-189 points in the other semi-final to set up the billiards title clash between Musa and Surya.

In quarter final matches,Surya beat Faiz Haider by 200-172 points; Siddarth Mehra beat Abhinav Kandwal by 200-148 points and Kablu beat Avinish Singh by 200-130 points.
