Panthers win Tanveer Akhtar memorial cricket trophy

Though Arya Cricket Academy fought back hard,however,its efforts fell 2 runs short of the victory mark.

For Arya academy,Amitabh Pathak and Vishwajeet Singh batted responsibly and scored 61 runs each. On behalf of Panthers,Kishan Sharma claimed four wickets.

Coaching camp
The Lucknow Cricket Academy (LCA) is organising a free coaching camp in cricket from June 25. About 100 players from Under-12,Under-14,Under-16 and Under-19 age categories will be participating in the camp.

LCN triumphs
Lucknow Cricket Nursery (LCN) defeated Unique Sporting by 12 runs in their day’s match of the Ratan Lal Sharma Memorial Monsoon Cricket League at Northern Railway Stadium,Lucknow on Tuesday.

Asked to bat first,LCN mustered 137 runs losing seven wickets in the given 30 overs. Himanshu Sharma with an unbeaten 36 was the top run-getter. On behalf of Unique Sporting,Abhishek Gupta took two wickets while Zafar Naqvi and Varun Srivastava took one wicket each.

In reply,Unique Sporting was all out at a total of 125 runs. Besides Zafar Naqvi (27) and Naveen Singh (26 not out),few others could make a reasonable contribution to the team total. Prabhjot Singh took three wickets while Shivam claimed two wickets.

INC wins final
Indian National Church (INC) team defeated Bandariya Bagh Club team by 31 runs in the final to stake claim at the winner’s trophy in the YMCA Inter Church Cricket Tournament which came to a close recently. Priyank of INC who was involved in a six run outs in the final was declared Man-of-the-Match of the all-important match.

Shashank (INC),Priyank (INC),Anthony (ICYM) and Ajetesh (INC) were adjudged ‘Best Batsman’,‘Best Fielder’,‘Best Bowler’ and ‘Man-of-the-Series’,respectively.
