One dead as rival groups clash

One person was killed and four others suffered pellet injuries after two groups exchanged fire over a dispute in Kanshi Ram Nagar district’s Sidhpura area on Tuesday. Kanshi Ram Nagar SP R P Chaturvedi said the incident took place when some youths from Nagla Lachhi village were given NREGA forms without the consent of the local pradhan. The pradhan,Geetam Singh,hurled abuses at Kulabh Singh who had handed over the forms. This led to an altercation between the two. Later,both their associates joined the fracas,resulting in the death of Kulabh Singh’s cousin Collector Singh. The accused are absconding,said Chaturvedi.
