Paying commercial tax in Uttar Pradesh is just a click away. The Bank of Baroda launched its E-Tax facility across 615 branches in the state on Friday.
The facility,launched at the banks Hazratganj branch,will enable traders to pay their taxes online and the tax would be deposited in the state exchequer the following working day.
The facility was launched by Principal Secretary (commercial tax) Deshdipak Verma and General Manager of Bank of Baroda (UP and Uttarakhand) Subhash Ahuja.
N K Jain,Lucknow Regional Manager,said the facility will enable all the traders across the state to pay the taxes either through their own accounts or at any branch in the state.
According to Dubey,the facility is available for customers as well as non-customer traders. Customers with access to Baroda connect facility can pay taxes by logging on Baroda connect and paying through their accounts.
Those who do not have the facility and are non-customers,can pay the tax by going to the nearest branch,where they can be connected through the E-Tax facility.
The facility will be available during banking hours from Monday to Saturday.
