Nandi attack case: Accused remanded in judicial custody

The Allahabad Gangster Act court on Thursday remanded Anand Shandilya alias Rajesh Pilot in judicial custody for 60 days.

The Allahabad Gangster Act court on Thursday remanded Anand Shandilya alias Rajesh Pilot in judicial custody for 60 days after he was produced by the UP STF officials in a case of attack on state Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi. The STF team had arrested Pilot in Mumbai on Tuesday. The Allahabad DIG,Bruj Bhushan Sharma,said Pilot was produced before the Gangster Act court as the police had invoked Gangster Act on him three days ago. The Investigating Officer (IO) in the case will file an application before the Gangster Act court on Friday to seek police custody remand of Pilot. They have to collect vital details related to the conspiracy behind the attack and the links used for procuring explosives and assembling of the bomb,the DIG said.
