Lucknow: In order to develop Dibiyapur industrial area in Auraiya district as Plastic City,the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Corporation (UPSIDC) held a meeting with representatives of the all-India plastic manufacturers association,plastic industrialists,NABARD,SIDBI and HUDCO.
UPSIDC managing director Manoj Singh said the state government is ready to provide facilities to industry,besides public and private players,for developing Dibiyapur industrial area as a plastic manufacturing hub. He also sought suggestions for drawing up a roadmap.
IIM-L inducts largest batch of students
Lucknow: IIM Lucknow has inducted its largest batch of management students for 2012-14. A total of 453 students are part of the new batch,including 166 female students.
The key focus in the present year was to ensure gender diversity in the batch,which ensured a record increase in female students. Of the 407 students in Post Graduate Programme in Management,144 are female. Of the 46 students admitted in Post Graduate Programme in Agri Business Management this year,23 are female,said an official release.
Seven of a family killed in accident
LUCKNOW: Seven of a family,including two women and a five-year-old boy,died when the car they were traveling in rammed into a roadways bus at Mansoorpur area in Muzaffar Nagar district. The driver of the bus fled after the accident. The police have contacted the transport department to ascertain the identity of the bus driver.
