Maya in eastern districts today

As part of her ongoing statewide tour,Chief Minister Mayawati,on Friday,would visit three eastern districts of the state — Azamgarh,Jaunpur and Varanasi — besides making aerial survey of flood-affected parts of Mirzapur and Chandauli districts.

On Wednesday,the CM began her tour programme,about six months ahead of 2012 Assembly polls,by visiting Hapud in Ghaziabad,Shamli in Muzaffarnagar and Shambhal in Moradabad districts. She also announced the creation of three new districts – Prabudhanagar,Panchasheel Nagar and Bhimnagar – during her tour on Wednesday in West UP.

Sources said the CM would not address any public gathering during her tour on Friday. “She would visit Ambedkar villages,Tehsils and police stations during her tour of the Azamgarh,Jaunpur and Varanasi districts. In Varanasi,she would hold a meeting with the officers of Varanasi division in the afternoon. She would reach Varanasi after making aerial survey of the flood-affected parts of Mirzapur and Chadauli,” a source in the government said.
