Man held for killing two SP workers

A man,accused of killing two SP workers during local body polls in Uttar Pradesh,was arrested from Azamgarh’s Kaptangaj area on Sunday,said police.

A man,accused of killing two SP workers during local body polls in Uttar Pradesh,was arrested from Azamgarh’s Kaptangaj area on Sunday,said police. Vikram Bahadur Singh had allegedly killed SP workers Mahendra Yadav and Ram Awadh on December 22 in Atraulia block. Two other accused in the case — Shailesh Singh and Ajay Singh — had been arrested earlier.

Congress expels four leaders
Congress has expelled four leaders,including a former minister,on charges of indulging in anti-party activities and indiscipline,a party spokesman said in Lucknow. Chairman of UPCC disciplinary committee,Ram Krishna Dwiwedi,expelled the four leaders for six years,said party spokesman Subodh Srivastava. Those expelled are former minister and PCC member Siddha Gopal Sahu,former MLA Harcharan Prajapati,Manoj Prajapati and Idrees Khan.
