Man burns wife to death

A woman died after she was allegedly set afire by her husband at the Banda railway station on Saturday. Banda GRP SHO M S Tomar said that Suman (40) of City Kotwali area was a cook at the railways drivers’ office,near Banda railway station. Her husband,Mohan,arrived there around 5 am and started abusing her on suspcions of her infidelity. He dragged her to Platform No 2 and threw petrol on her before setting her on fire. Tomar said Mohan had asked his wife to leave the job,but she refused,the SHO added.
