To host TV show where families play for Rs 1 crore
Long before being glorified as one of the 3 Idiots’,Madhavan was on TV anchoring shows like Tol Mol ke Bol and acting in drama series including Banegi Apni Baat and now things come full circle with Siddharth Basus Synergy productions of Kaun Banega Crorepati fame signing him for their new show Big Money to be aired on Imagine TV.
Things have changed only to the extent that participants appear a little more awestruck than they used to before some of my films got hugely successful, chuckles Madhavan,speaking on phone from Chennai,where he was for the mahurat of a Kamal Hasan production in Tamil Madan Ambe (it means Cupid’s arrow).
I have never been into more than two projects at a time and have ample time for the show, he adds with reference to the quiz programme that will have families playing for Rs 1 crore. The unique part is that all questions will be related to television programmes on various channels, he says giving a peak into the show,which,rumours were strife that Aamir Khan would anchor.
The show has only just gone on floors and even the promos are not ready,making it too early to say when it would be on air.
My next film Tanu Weds Manu is ready for release and I am sure I would be visiting Lucknow again when we go on a promotional tour, said the actor about the film that was shot extensively in Lucknow,on locations including the Baradari.
