Lok Sabh election 2024 result: 8 BJP MPs get hat-trick of wins, while 10 miss out
They all lost to Samajwadi Party candidates by significant margins of over 20,000 votes.

AS MANY as eight BJP MPs achieved a hat-trick by winning for the third consecutive time, while their 10 party colleagues failed to achieve the feat as they lost in the Lok Sabha polls, the results of which were declared on Tuesday.

They included Sanjeev Kumar Balyan (Muzaffarnagar), Ram Shankar Kateria (Etawah), Vinod Sonkar (Kaushambi), Rajveer Singh (Etah), Niranjan Jyoti (fatehpur), Kaushal Kishore (Mohanlalganj), Rekha Verma (Dhaurahra), Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma (Jalaun), and Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel (Hamirpur).
Meanwhile, the eight candidates who completed their hat-trick by winning three consecutive Lok Sabha elections included Prime Minister Narendra Modi (Varanasi), Defence Minister Rajnath Singh (Lucknow), actor-politician Hema Malini (Mathura) Sakshi Maharaj (Unnao), Mahesh Sharma (Ghaziabad), Devendra Singh Bhole (Akbarpur), Kamlesh Paswan (Bansgaon), and Jagdambika Pal (Domariyaganj).
6 won by less than 5,000 votes
As many as six candidates won by a slender margin of less than 5,000 votes. Of these, three are from BJP and three are from SP. BJP’s Kamlesh Paswan defeated Sadal Prasad o\][f Congress by 3,150 votes in Bansgaon. In Farrukhabad, BJP’s Mukesh Rajput defeated Nawal Kishore Shakhya of SP by 2,678 votes, while Praveen Patel of BJP defeated Amarnath Singh Maurya of SP in Phulpur by 4,332 votes. SP’s Anand Bhadauria defeated BJP’s Rekha Verma by 4,449 votes in Dhaurahra. In Hamirpur, SP’s Ajendra Singh Lodhi BJP’s defeated Kunwar Pushpendra Singh Chandel by 2,629 votes, while in Salempur, SP’s Rama Shankar Rajbhar won by 3,573 votes.
