How does one lose an elephant? The same way they lose their faith,teeth and marbles,according to Greater Elephant,an independent movie that recently won the Best Jury Award at the South Asian Film Festival in New York. Greater Elephant produced by Pallavi Rohatgi of Mateeyao Productions and directed by Srinivas Sunderrajan whose previous work includes The United Kartik Krishnan Project is an allegorical tale that traces the adventures of a pachyderm lost in a big city and all the chaos that ensues. The film is largely shot in Mumbai. The film,starring Hussain Dalal and Naveen Kaushik is part of Rohatgis attempt to make independent cinema more accessible to a larger audience as she is in the process of launching a short film channel for independent filmmakers in India.
