Like,there was this offer to be a judge on a shaadi show and that was so unlike who or what I am, said the petite,actress,who proudly flashes her single status,in Lucknow on Wednesday to promote UTVStar,a channel under the UTV flagship that goes on air from August 19. But heres a channel I would love to associate with since it is above gossip and aims at bringing the stars and their admirers closer, said Lamba,busy with three interesting film projectsa romantic comedy Hum,Tum,Shabana,with Shreyas Talpade and Tusshar Kapoor,a crime-politics thriller co-starring Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi called Zilla Ghaziabad and the Akshay Kumar-Sonakshi-starrer science fiction Jokerin which I play a TV reporter, she says excitedly,sharing her unfulfilled aspiration to be a journalist.

The new channel,she promises,will have more interesting stuff than speculations about stars undergoing cosmetic surgery or details of their detention at airports for undeclared assets. Everyone gets to taste the tribulations of the system,but when a star is on the wrong side,the matter is publicised big time, she said,with reference to her experience of being questioned by authorities over jewellery she was carrying during air travel.
