‘Kushwaha was denied Cong entry ‘

Rahul told the crowd that BJP leaders sold the name of “Ram” to get votes and now “a corrupt minister” like Kushwaha has bought them all.

“Kushwaha is one of those who used to run the magic elephant of Mayawati in Lucknow that eats away all the money of poor. He is the one,who looted all money meant for thousands of children dying of encephalitis each year here. He is the one who looted all the money meant for hospitals in your region. Even CBI is after him,” he told the crowd. And now the BJP has taken in such a person,he added.

Incidentally,BJP leader Yogi Adityanath,who has voiced his dissent against Kushwaha’s induction,is the MP from Gorakhpur.

“He (Kushwaha) had come to Congress. He wanted us to induct him in our party. He wanted us to save him from the action against corruption. But we clearly told him that we would not save him and we told him that he would go inside (jail),” said Rahul.

Continuing his attack on BJP and its campaign against corruption,Rahul told the crowd that real corruption is in the states ruled by BJP. “They say that they are against corruption but then they go on to induct people like Kushwaha. They say that they fight against corruption but let me tell you that real corruption is in the states like Karnataka,Uttarakhand and Gujarat.”
