Exponents of Kathak from Pune and Kolkata entertained patrons of the dance at the Ravindralay auditorium on Thursday evening at the inaugural day event of the three-day ‘Virasat-2009-Dimensions in Kathak Choreography’. Troupe led by Roshandatre of Pune presented ‘Kathakadikathak’,while the one led by Mitul Sengupta of Kolkata presented ‘Parivardhan’. The second day’s attraction is dance drama by performers of the Rashtriya Kathak Sansthan of Lucknow and the troupe from Kolkata. Patrons have a choice to enjoy an Odissi performance at 6:30 pm at Rai Umanath Bali,where Sudha Mukhopadhyay would perform in ICCR’s Horizon series.
