Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) vice-chairman Rajneesh Dube today suspended three employees and recommended action against two others, including a PCS officer, for alleged irregularities in adjustment and transfer of eight plots in Gomti Nagar Extension Housing Scheme.
Dube has suspended section officer Deochand Ram and two scheme assistants Ram Naresh Yadav and Ishtiyaq Ali. He has written to the state government for suspension of property officer K K Singh and departmental action against joint secretary (PCS) Rakesh Mishra. Both Mishra and Singh have been transferred from the LDA as of now.
Dube said that action was taken in connection with irregular adjustment and transfer of eight plots between 2008 and 2011. These properties are in Sector-5 of Gomti Nagar Extension.
These properties were allotted through lottery draw before 2008 in different housing schemes. However, the LDA had canceled these allotments after the allottees failed to pay the installments of the property cost. Later, the employees and officials associated with the scheme used fake applications with fake signatures of these allottees seeking revival of these properties.
After revival of properties, the officials moved fake applications from these allottees to get the properties adjusted into Sector-5 of Gomti Nagar Extension. The properties were also registered in 2011. Then these properties were again transferred to other people and mutation as well as registry of the properties was done on a single day. All this time, the original allottees had no information about the revival and adjustment of their canceled properties.
