After Pune blast,UP on red alert
Kanpur: In the wake of the Pune blast,a red alert was declared in the entire state on Sunday.
ADG Brijlal said police personnel have been asked to remain to be vigilant,particularly in Kanpur,Lucknow,Agra,Varanasi,Ghaziabad and Noida.
Asked on the Union Home Ministry’s warning that terrorists may target Kanpur,the officer said he had no specific information on the matter.

Tigress kills woman at Katerniaghat
Lucknow: A woman was killed by a tigress in Bichiya range in Katerniaghat Wildlife Sanctuary on Sunday morning. The victim,Gudiya (20),a resident of Bhishungara village,was collecting wood from the forest area when she was attacked. “The incident took place around 10.30 am when the victim went near the area where the tigress was present. The tigress attacked her twice,leading to serious injuries on the neck. Villagers nearby raised an alarm. She succumbed to her injuries while on the way to hospital,” said a senior Katerniaghat forest official.
