I Won!

Ousted Bigg Boss participant Laxmi Narayan feels victorious

In a game that gets more sordid by the minute, how one accepts elimination is the real test of character. Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, who was shown out of the Bigg Boss house, feels every bit like the winner and showed no sign of remorse.

“I was on a show that is watched by millions. Everyone who saw me is sure to have turned more sensitive towards people of my (eunuch) community and the stigma attached. In reaching out to the masses and winning their hearts—as is evident from the positive feedback—lies my victory,” said Laxmi,at equal ease with English,Hindi and Bhojpuri. In Lucknow, along with actor Ayub Khan to promote ‘Golden Petal Awards’,an initiative of Colors to reward talent on their various shows,Laxmi interspersed the address with hilarious, flirty chit-chat and experience of being on the most watched reality show.

“In the Bigg Boss house,Akashdeep Saigal is the only irritant for the scant respect he has for women. On the other hand,I was bowled over by the Swami Agnivesh’s generous perspective pertaining to the sexual minorities. I sought refuge in his wisdom and he has promised to guide and enlighten me whenever I turn to him,” said Laxmi, who is involved with United Nations and other projects to promote AIDS awareness and gender equality.

In contrast,Ayub Khan remained quiet, maintaining his poise and looking bemused.

“I am a very boring person and it would be a mistake to put me on a reality show,” smiled the actor who plays an important part in the channel’s longest running show Uttaran. “If at all,I would love to be on a travel show,” he confessed.
