“IPL charms fans with the bond they forge with different players and cities…a match with Yuvraj in either team will always be special for the Chandigarh folks,while another being played in Bangalore will excite/invite anyone who has just studied or worked there,” reasons Gaurav Kapur,who would be hosting extraa innings on SetMax,the channel with rights to air the IPL matches. Kapur was in Lucknow with co-hosts Archana and Yudhishthir on Monday to promote the between-the-matches capsule that will entertain the viewers with the latest buzz and tidbits on the game.

“A panel of experts will be commenting on queries we raise from a fan’s perspective,” said Archana Vijaya,who would be interacting with the spectators in the stadium.

Accompanying her on the pavillion would be video jockey/actor Yudhishthir Urs,better know as Yudi,a cricket enthusiast who’s excited about his new assignment. “Besides being at the centre of the excitement that marks the game,I enthused about meeting the big stars,” says Yudi,recalling his greatest cricket moment when he met Sunil Gavaskar in person on the flight back from Dubai.

“The matches would mostly be 3 PM onwards and the channel would continue showing popular films in the other slots…this way the entire family would be glued to SetMax,we hope,” said Gaurav Seth,from the channel.
