The hearing on CBIs application seeking polygraph test on former minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya was deferred to June 18,as the latter did not appear before the court on Tuesday.
Raja Bhaiyya was summoned by the court to inquire about his consent for the test.
The CBI had filed the application in the court of special judicial magistrate Mirza Zeenat seeking permission for the lie-detector test on Raja Bhaiyya,who is charged with conspiracy of murder of Kunda circle officer DSP Ziaul Haque. The CBI had also informed the court that the accused had given his consent for the test,but the court had fixed June 11 for hearing on the matter and to confirm from the accused if he was ready for the test.
Raja Bhaiyyas counsel Satyendra Singh said he requested the court for extending the hearing on the matter as the latter was out of town and can appear after three days. Singh also said that accepting the request,the court has fixed the matter for June 18. The CBI had registered two separate cases into Ziaul Haques murder,one on the complaint of the circle ofiicers wife Parveen Azad and another by station officer of Hathgawan police station Manoj Kumar Shukla.
