Four held for lodging false case against SP MLA

A woman who accused the Samajwadi Party MLA from Sadar of kidnapping her daughter was arrested with three others in Sultanpur district for lodging a false case against the legislator.

A woman who accused the Samajwadi Party MLA from Sadar of kidnapping her daughter was arrested with three others in Sultanpur district for lodging a false case against the legislator,police said here on Saturday. On January 6,Eram Khatoon lodged an FIR at Kotwali police station of Sultanpur city complaining that her five-year-old granddaughter Sanobar was kidnapped by three unidentified persons,they said.

Sanobar’s mother Samreen alleged that her daughter was kidnapped by SP MLA from Sadar seat Anup Sanda and his wife Amita Seth. During investigation it was revealed that Samreen,her mother Eram and their relative Sahabuddin had plotted kidnapping of Sanobar to implicate Sanda and his wife in a false case,they said. Based on the investigation,the police recovered the girl and arrested Samreen,Eram and three others. The police said the efforts were on to arrest Sahabuddin,who is absconding.
