Four bodies found floating in Manorama

The bodies of four persons of a family,including three minor boys,from a village in Basti were found floating in Manorama river,police said.

The bodies of four persons of a family,including three minor boys,from a village in Basti were found floating in Manorama river,police said.

Rampati Nishad,a farmer who was also employed at a flour mill,left Masandeeh village with his wife Kamlawati and three sons — Sukhai (9),Ram Ashish (6) and Ravi (2) — on Saturday morning without informing anyone where they were headed,police said.

The bodies of Sukhai and Ravi were spotted by the villagers in the evening while those of Kamlawati and Ram Ashish on Sunday morning.

Kalwari circle officer Yogendra Singh said Rampati is still untraceable,adding that the bodies bear no external injury marks. He said the four appear to have died of drowning,although their postmortem reports are awaited.
