Repolling is likely to be conducted at seven booths in three parliamentary constituencies in UPGonda,Basti and Saint Kabir Nagar. The office of the chief election commissioner has sent a request for repolling at seven booths.

The Additional Chief Election Officer Amrit Abhijat said we are yet to receive the approval for repolling. Five of these booths are in Gonda and one each in Basti and Sant Kabir Nagar.

The booths are no. 176 and 177 (Machchaligaon Nanakara),142 (Ashrafpur),155 and 156 (Ferozpur) in Manikapur Assembly segment of Gonda parliamentary constituency,besides no. 24 (Dhivapur) in Basti and 470 Marwatiya in Sant Kabir Nagar constituencies.

According to Abhijat,irregularities were reported in the polling process at the five booths of the Gonda constituencies. At other booths,there were problems in the EVM machine.
