Dutt says sorry for ‘pappi’ talk

Actor and SP general secretary Sanjay Dutt has tendered an unconditional apology to the Pratapgarh district magistrate for his alleged offensive remarks on Chief Minister Mayawati during an election meeting in the district.

According to additional district magistrate NC Srivastava,Dutt,in a letter faxed to the office of the district magistrate,has said,“There was no intention to humiliate anybody,yet if my comments have hurt the sentiments of anybody,I offer my unconditional apologies.”

Recently,at a public meeting in Pratapgarh,Dutt had reportedly said he would give “Jadu ki jhappi and pappi” to everyone,including Chief Minister Mayawati.

In Barabanki,an FIR was lodged against Dutt on Tuesday for making similar comments in an election meeting.
